Chakia, Chandauli:
Media Trust of India and Khabari News, in association with Chakshudham Eye Hospital, an ASG Enterprise, organized a free eye checkup camp on Monday at Aditya Pustakalay (Aditya Library) in Chakia. A total of 157 people registered, and 117 individuals underwent eye checkups and received treatment.

The camp was inaugurated by Deputy District Magistrate (SDM) Smt. Divya Upadhyay, who lit the ceremonial lamp. She appreciated the initiative and praised journalists for their efforts under the Media Trust of India, stating that helping restore vision is one of the greatest acts of service.

The eye examinations were conducted under the guidance of Dr. Rameshwar Singh (MBBS, MD) and his team. Patients were diagnosed with various eye problems, including cataracts. Dr. Singh emphasized the importance of regular eye checkups and advised people to be mindful of their eye health. He assured that patients requiring further medical attention would receive necessary treatments and surgeries.

Need for More Such Initiatives

Speaking at the event, SDM Divya Upadhyay highlighted the importance of medical camps, particularly in rural areas, where people often lack access to proper healthcare. She urged the Media Trust of India to continue organizing such health camps to benefit more people in need.

Public Participation and Support

The eye camp received an overwhelming response from the local community, emphasizing the need for quality healthcare services in remote regions. The local administration extended its support for similar initiatives in the future.

Several dignitaries and social workers attended the camp, including members of the hospital administration and local representatives.

The event was made successful through the active involvement of Dr. Manish Tiwari, Ashok Yadav, Ravindra Pradhan, Vikas Mishra, Krishna Gupta, Vinod Gupta, along with other journalists and social workers. They expressed their gratitude to the medical team for their dedication and service to society.

Future Plans

The organizers announced that similar health camps would be conducted in the future to help underprivileged and needy patients access quality healthcare services.
